When I was working on Guam, I ate some dog that our H2 workers from Pohnpei cooked. It wasn't bad right out of the oven. An hour later you couldn't cut it with a chainsaw.

Years ago I killed an armadillo with a stick one day and was going to try cooking it. I laid it on the tailgate and got my knife after it and could not make myself finish cleaning that stinking sonofagun. I've cleaned and cooked coon, possum, rattlesnake and some other things, but couldn't do the diller. I'm pretty sure I don't want any coyote either.

1978. Working in the Texas Hill Country near SanAngelo. Herds of deer and herds of armadillos. One Friday we killed 17 armadillos and put the word out that Saturday would be a 2 keg cookout at our place. We cleaned those suckers and put 'em on ice. They have dark meat and white meat like a yard bird. Saturday about 10am we put 'em on the grill. Had about 50 folks and they were either real hungry, real drunk or both cause the armadillo meat was a hit. There were hamburgers, hotdogs, etc but I don'r remember throwing away any armadillo.

A week or so later I was listening to Paul Harvey and he told of the only 2 critters on earth that COULD carry Leprosy.......man and the armadillo.......I've been constantly itching and scratching ever since laugh

Agreed, coyote tacos taste like pork carnitas.
