Lol I know I shouldn't get mad when I'm huntin close to them but when you park at the gate and you walk past signs that say no horses and there is more horse tracks then deer tracks So the horse scares all the deer away??

I'm sure they are use to them honestly but what makes it legal for them to be back there when it says no horses? It don't. Sorta like the speed limit. How many people you know follow it?? Not saying it's right.

We will stop it if we see it. Catching them riding where they shouldn't ain't as easy as it seems. Took me several months to catch them in one area.

MTeague shot one that looked like a horse with antlers last year. He took the saddle off and let the rider take it before the pics.

I had much rather be tried by twelve than carried to my grave by six!!!!

Matt, do the horse riders have to buy a permit to use the land? Probably not. In Choccolocco, people ride horse on their trail during gun deer hunts. The hunters have to buy a management area license to hunt, and only get to use the land on certain dates. Horse riders don't pay squat and get to use the land 365 days a year. I propose, a usage fee. Anybody using the property for anything, hunting, fishing, camping, biking, or riding horses should all pay the same amount.

Be hunting the forest last four days seen several deer.but hadn't seen any rutting activity yet.shouldn't be much longer though. I'm heading out there Sunday for the first time this year. I'm pumped. This is the first time this year I've been excited to get in a stand. I can't wait!
