Dammit dammit dammit!!!! I shot under this joker at 33 yards. I had one spot of blood on my broadhead and a few cut hairs. There wasn't anything on the shaft or on the ground.

Nothing but hogs on WMA in lowndes. Had to run them out from under my stand to dark to shoot. Mamma hog was not to happy with me.

Shaw, I know how you feel. I finally get a shot at a nice buck this afternoon and I hit him right on the shoulder . I knew it as soon as I heard it hit. Got about an inch of penetration. It splintered the end of the arrow and broke the broadhead off at the threads. Bet it will be a while before he comes back. It was the deer on the right in this pic.

A deer's shoulder is some kind of tough. I've shot concrete blocks that didn't do as much damage to an insert as this. Busted the insert and broke a g5 montec.

I've never had an arrow look like that after a shoulder hit. What arrow are shooting? How far was the shot?

Hate to hear that Sluggun. I had my dial set on 30 and I knew he was 33 yards. Like a dumb ass I aimed at his heart. Bucks don't drop like does.

Mauvilla, I don't care what broadhead you shoot, how fast your bow is or how heavy an arrow you shoot. There is a certain spot on the front shoulder that you will not penetrate. It wasn't the broadhead's fault. I've blown through front shoulders before, but I did not hit that certain spot like Sluggun. I have on several occasions and the results were the same as his. When you hit it, you know instantly by the sound.

It was getting late when he came out and I thought I could make the shot. He was only 22yds. I just didn't get the pin far enough behind the shoulder. Arrow was laying about 5 feet from where it hit him. Also hit so hard it made the lumenock turn off.

well my honey hole didn't produce for me...now we are planning a big event for the kids this coming weekend and I am super excited to be doing something big and special for the kids at the club.So my little boy is getting skipping school and I am skipping work Friday......and he told me in these words "daddy this weekend will be the first weekend that I have hunted with you and you not carry a gun, but don't worry daddy , I wont shoot no doe." I smiled and said son you can shoot anything you want that's your choice......I am so proud of my little boy.

And doesn't that just piss you off? Both of us have shot the Buckmasters shoots and can hit that scoring pad on a 50 yard moving target. You tank a 22 yarder and me a 33 yarder.

Only been bow hunting for 3-4 years, I have stuck 5 does and 1 buck. All hits no misses with my bear element II. I said I would not upgrade my bow until I missed. I was looking at new bows before coming back and posting here again. Still bugging me, it was such an easy shot.

Bear element II will be going to the classifieds, been a good bow. Time for an upgrade.

Yes Shaw, looks like I need elkhunter to come over with some of those fancy hog traps and catch these deer and paint black squares on them. Then maybe I can hit them.
