It's gonna be cold tonight. I will brave it and head out to watch the Clay-Chalkville vs. Muscle Shoals game at CCHS. Hoping this will be a better game (at least defensivly) than last weeks game. 135 points in a game (CCHS 85 Scottsboro 50) is just unreal and shouldn't happen as far as I'm concerned.

I will give a shoutout to Bo Nix, son of coach Patrick Nix (8th grade QB for Scottsboro). If he stays healthy, along with a few other young players on their team, I could see them winning a state championship in 2 to 3 years. They have at least one great running back and and an excellent wide receiver. They will need to develop a defense.

On a side note, there is a great article on AL.com about Terelle West, Clay-Chalkville's all time rushing leader. Terelle has overcome a lot of adversity in his life and appears to be a fine young man. The article, "Honor Thy Father: The remarkable run of Terelle West at Clay-Chalkville" is by Jeff Sentell and is an excellent read. Check it out if you get a chance.

Anyways, anyone else going to try and brave the cold tonight?
