Yes a cell can be tracked even with no software installed. They triangulate the signals from the towers, and can get a decent fix.

Yes a cell can be tracked even with no software installed. They triangulate the signals from the towers, and can get a decent fix. Agree with this. The apps and 'I lost my iPhone' enable the common use to locate the device. It is possible those with higher level need/capabilities to triangulate the signal from the phone to approximate its location.
Been here long enough to go from "bring 'da pain" to " bring 'da pain meds.
