You dont have many options TILL they cross the property line. When they cross on to YOUR land then shoot them! Just dont admit to shooting them, and make sure no one sees you shoot them. That way their is NOTHING they can legally do about it. This" dog cant read crap" has to work both ways. IF they dont see you kill the dogs = they cant prosacute you! You've got to be the not so brightest person on this forum Thanks! I will cherish the endorsement! I going hunting now, keep shooting dogs till I return Keep away from the pills.

Actually, a 5' would probably do the trick, and the deer could jump onto your property to get away from the dogs. Who just leveled the playing field? That's actually a great idea if you could afford it. Imagine how pissed off those dog hunters would be. Then when they deploy the legendary "my dogs can't read signs" you can tell them their deer don't either. Of course then they're going to slash your tires and burn your camp down for "shooting their deer". I think if you're dealing with an inconsiderate redneck that would turn dogs loose on a few acres like that you're screwed.

Yep, and God-Forbid that inconsiderate redneck that actually OWNS the land on both sides of this great lease decide to clearcut his property and put in trailer parks!!!!
That low-life scumbag!!!! Not sure I understand what you're driving at: are you disagreeing that these guys are idiots for running deer on 15 acres, or saying be careful pissing them off cuz they might just use the land to ruin your hunting even further? I understand you to be a responsible dog hunter ... Are you defending dog hunters that behave like this?

I understand you to be a responsible dog hunter ... Are you defending dog hunters that behave like this? Well what if they are rabbit hunting? The OP never said the dogs got on his land? There is no way I would drop the dogs out on such a small piece for deer hunting, But I would rabbit hunting. I think the OP is just fishing here. He hasn't responded to any questions asked here. And every one is jumping to conclusions... I am sure glad the troopers don't put people in Jail for speeding, like they do murder. Thats the way people treat dog hunters, just throw us all in the same bowl, no matter what...

I agree if the dogs stay on their land, then the issue boils down to them being able to use the land how they please. And im unfamiliar with how dogs trained for different hunting like rabbits would behave, so I'll have to defer to Yall who are experienced.
Dog hunting sounds like fun. Its just that I can empathize with someone being pissed that their intended use for their land is now ruined, and the neighbors just shrug their shoulders and say "oh well that's dog huntin". I'm sure responsible dog hunters don't act this way ... I just don't know why good dog hunters aren't the loudest critics of bone heads that impact the sport through ridiculous behavior (like turning out dogs on property where they'll be across lines within minutes) I can't stand any kind of Outlaw, especially a Dog hunter outlaw.. BUT 90% of the time when both sides of the story is told, it's not the "doggers" fault. When both sides of the story is told is when I make judgement. Most guys I know that hate doggers, is because of the dog owner, not the dog. The owner would trespass, tear up land, fences etc. etc. But when a guy leases a small tract of land that is surrounded by deer doggers, then raises cane about dogs spooking off his deer, while they are own legal property.. Thats when i get huffy, or when people like Shooters that like to "brag" about how he would shoot a dog, that ticks me off. He knows it does, thats why he does it.

But to the OP, if they are crossing his land and turning dogs onto his land on purpose. Call the GW, and keep calling till he writes some tickets. If we get 3 tickets they pull our permit.

People are constantly saying CRAP like = 90% of the time its not the dogs fault or dogs can read read or their just dogs doing what their trained to do! IF you want to lease 5000s acres and run dogs on it I do not object. I ran a labador retriver of our property Monday. I kicked it in the head and ran it off. I could have chosen to take its life, but I did not. Lots of people are SICK of dogs running all over their land. I blame no one for killing dogs, that ruin their hunts. Its a personal choice for the hunter. Deer dog hunters get three times to impact a persons hunting??? How is that fair to the man that gets to hunt 4 times a year???? GW often will give little help. They try but Its hard to catch the dog and owner lots of times. So is it really so hard to see WHY people shoot deer dogs??? I would not be allowed to tresspass in to someones yard howling like a dog 3 times would I ????

And I agree someone should be able to hunt there land how they want. BUT same goes for doggers. I can see where people can blame dogs for there problems for not killing deer, but thats far from the truth

I am Defending their Right to do anything legal that they please on their own property! It has NOTHING to do with a dog. My God, man......I LIVE in the Country. And, we own a fair bit of land. There is not much that pisses me off worse than some jackleg to come in and lease up a little place and expect all normal day-to-day activity to HALT and CEASE do as to not disturb him while he deer hunts! Yes, it is a pet peeve of mine.....
