I went this morning and hunted my go to spot from last year. Killed a really nice 8 pt and 3 coyotes in this spot last year and saw deer every time I hunted it. this is rows of pines between two hardwood bottoms. Deer either come out of the bottom and cross or walk the transition areas of the pines and hardwoods. Heard something walking to the right of me about 9 AM. Found the sound and it was a big ole coyote in the transition area. Couldn't get on him but maybe next time. Wind started howling and gusted to 15MPH till I left at 2:30 PM. Hadn't seen anything but at about 1:00 PM saw a doe and a buck in some real thick stuff but was unable to get on either. Nothing else showed so i left and turned in about 2:30 PM. Not sure when I can get back.

I noticed on your picture you didn't have a sign. For kill to count, you must show date killed, team name, and member name to count.

I believe you either have to be in the picture or have a sign. I posted one of the first one with me in it.

I saw a dandy yesterday. They didn't pass out permits at the check station til 4:30 so by the time I drove 30 minutes to the other side of the wma, walked in, climbed a tree, it was good daylight. I jumped two out of the clear cut walking in, then had a biggun trot through while my gun was still on the ground. Ticked me off, I would have killed him if I coulda been in the tree sooner. Saw a little buck and that was it. I was 52' up a pine and finally called it quits about noon with the heavy winds. Think I have whiplash. I'm at the office today, getting some stuff done.

You "must" have a sign that is dated with either your name or our team name. You are working too hard to not get credit for your accomplishments. I phothshoped a sign in one i forgot a few years back and the moderator said it was a no go so i had to kill another doe. Must be dated on day of kill to verify.

Just looked at the rules again, it says either take a pic with yourself and atleast half the deer in it, or a sign with all your info written on it. Yek made the rules and he posted a buck with just him in the pic.

Works for me. I am getting off at lunch today to go and then Friday and Saturday.

I'm either going to Georgia, Russell county or Wilcox, can't decide. Russel and ga will be rutting, but Russell I'll be stuck bowhunting and Georgia they are still cutting timber.

Took a half day vacation. It was so hot just about decided to stay home. Got in stand about 3. Hunted hardwood bottom with about 50 squirrels and a ton of acorn trees dropping like crazy. Just knew I would see something. About 5, something winded me and blew a couple times. Nothing sited. Back Friday trying it again.

I don't know if you've ever looked at the corp land around cottonton, but it's bow only and pretty good. Full bore rut right now.

Hunted in Cottonton off Highway 4 several years ago but not familiar with Corp land. how do you go about hunting there?

Print off a corp permit and go hunt. Google it, I used to hunt the ga side and it was consistent with the rest of the area for deer numbers. Where did you hunt off 4? I used to hunt directly north of the intersection on the western side. I also hunted holy trinity off terminal rd for a while. I miss those places lol

It was a farm owned by an old lady. Not sure her name but it is near the Balfour Farms on 4.

Was y'all's place pretty good? I bet I averaged seeing 20 deer a sit, and sometimes as many as 50. Some good bucks too. Probably the best area I've hunted.

First club I was ever in. Knew nothing whatsoever about how to go about hunting deer. The brother of a man I worked for was president of a club and needed members. Saw a ton of does but wanted a buck to be my first kill. That was over 20 years ago.

Well I'm down in Georgia, there's 7 or 8 in the pasture right now. Gonna hunt here til Saturday, and then go to Russell county for Saturday afternoon and Sunday. I'm hunting bone at this point, although I may stick one more with the bow if she acts stupid.

Went this morning. 29 with chill factor of 26. Sat in shade most of morning and nearly froze. Stayed to 1:00 PM. However, saw two spikes, a doe, and got blowed at by another. Doe was in some really thick stuff and could not get on her to take a shot.

I saw 5 does yesterday and nothing this morning and an 8 this afternoon. Going to hunt Russell county tomorrow

Where in Russell County are you hunting???

I'm sitting about 50 yds from the property line bordering the mead plant on 165 right now. I've got 3 does in bow range as we speak
