one liter of water with a fresh squeezed whole lemon (plenty of vitamins in them) in it first thing in the morning, don't eat for at least 45min afterword. if you are not hydrated you are fighting a losing battle from the start. For most of us our sleeping time is the longest we will go in a 24hr period without drinking. started doing this about 6mths ago and have felt better overall ever since.

What I use ... This allows me to train hard in the gym 4 days a week at age 53 - Fish Oil
- B-Complex
- Whole Food / Organic Men's Vitamin
- Zyflamend (rosemary, turmeric, ginger, basil, green tea, hu zhang, goldthread, barberry, oregano, skullcap)
- Glucosamine/Chondroitin
- BCAA / Branch Chain Amino Acids
- Glutamine
- Protein (preferably i my diet but I'll supplement if I have to)
BTW: I have a side business selling discount health/fitness supplements. Anyone want a good deal? PM me and I'll see if I can help
I don't want to pass quietly into the night. I want to slide in sideways kickin and screamin Life really is awesome ... Soak it up while you can ...

I take the dollar general brand Mens heath vitamins and Advil or Alieve. It just depends on what hurts that day. I keep telling myself to start the baby aspirin deal but I just can't remember to stop and get the dang things.

If you're taking vitamin supplements in any form other than liquid or gel cap (or flintstones gummies)you may as well just be throwing your cash straight in the toilet. Almost none of them dissolve before you pass them and you get no nutritional value from them if you can't absorb them.
So, liquid form is best? I helped a guy back in college wash out the port-a-potties after a large outdoor event. Used a hose on the screens. I kept seeing all these things caught in the screens that wouldn't spray through and I asked him if they were some kind of deodorizer pellets. He just chuckled and said "Nope, vitamins". So yes, liquid would be better.

Almost none of them dissolve before you pass them and you get no nutritional value from them if you can't absorb them. Close but not quite accurate. Yes, most of the vitamins and supplements you buy in the store fail to do much good because, as you indicated, you can't absorb them. However, whole food / organic vitamins address this issue just as liquid vitamins. For example, most vitamin D / calcium supplements are made from limestone (crushed rocks) and your body simply cannot absorb more than about 10% of the nutritional content. Use a high quality organic, whole food supplement such as New Chapter Bone Strength Take Care and you are ingesting cultured kelp ... A whole food that your body CAN process and absorb. Other Issues with other supplements :Many similar issues arise with many other supplements. You just have to do your homework or know someone who has the knowledge. For example, 90% of all Fish Oil for sale in the U.S. is crap extracted from rank fish from the Argentina sardine/anchovy trade. Their purification process almost totally eliminates the benefit of the product but manufacturers continue to sell it as an anti-oxidant loaded fish oil. Most of the Krill oil manufacturers do the same. A high fish oil (New Chapter, Source Naturals, Nordic Naturals) will be purified with a more expensive process that will not spoil the oil. I could go on and on ...

Nothing extra for me @ 46. I try not to eat too much, run 5 or 6 days a week, and do core and targeted body part exercises several times a week.
