had a small 6pt harassing a doe yesterday evening.she didn't want anything doing with him here in the NE AL. I usually see small bucks start chasing around the 19TH of this month.Seeing more scrapes and rubs here in the swamps of Ball Play.

Yea hoping to be able to track peak rut across the state as it moves south. Pre-rut reports are probably just as important. Keep em coming.
The buck stops here.

Jefferson county
Young bucks scraping and chasing in the bessemer/mccalla area. Only heard of one deer older than 2.5's have been seen chasing. Older bucks are still with other bucks. Any update on Jefferson co? I had a couple bucks on camera I haven't seen before. I will try and make it out this afternoon. I will let y'all know if anything is chasing.

Northern Eastern Madison county, 3 miles from Jackson Co border, finding lots of fresh rubs 10 point buck comes busting down the mountain this AM. Stops, looks at me opening my protein bar, then keeps on trucking down the mountain to an area I know does are using heavily. He had something on his mind and it wasn't food ...
