Ok just a quick question. Do you guys give your significant others gift suggestions or torture them with the old "I don't want nothing" gag? Any of you ever not given gifts to your significant others?

I'll always tell her, because she dang sure doesn't know what to get. Would rather always get something I'd prefer, if she asks.

As a guy, it's a rule you always have to get your wife/GF something even if she doesn't reciprocate.

This year my wife and I have been so busy that we just ordered our own stuff online and are happy with it.

Normally we give suggestions to each other. Whatever is at the top of the list is what she really wants, followed by acceptable items. Not sure that is really a suggestion, lol!

For me, I give here a couple ideas I'd be happy with. If there is something specific, I just handle it and let her wrap it up.

I've come real close to not getting my fiance anything when she wouldn't tell me anything. I understand wanting to be surprised or wanting others to be thoughtful but it's selfish when you make them kill themselves stressing over what to get them for Christmas. I finally got a few suggestions this year.

Last year and this year we decided not to get each other gifts due to finances. More for the kids.

I heard DW say something about wanting some bearings replaced in something.

clue: she probably did tell you some ideas - or dropped some hints - in the months and weeks before but you didn't pick up on 'em. men just don't hear and see the same things that women do.

they do need to give use a break every now and then ...

We are flying are oldest daughter, her husband, the two dogs and our 11 month old grandson home from the west coast for Christmas. This is are gift to each other this year. We are so blessed that we can do this.

My wife always says she doesn't want anything because she buys what she wants anyway. So, I usually find something small I think she will like and surprise her with it. I always tell her I don't want anything, because I don't. She usually gets me something from our son but, that is it.

right now, i'm not telling the bride anything for two reasons: 1) i really do not want anything we can afford, and 2) this leaves more money for the kids and grand kids. i'm not being altruistic, just practical.
well, there is one thing i want really, really badly: a black mouth cur. but our landlord says no dog (so far) ...

We don't do gifts for each other. Our Anniversary is this time of year so we usually just try to get a weekend away and let that be our Christmas/anniversary gift to each other.

I always surprise my wife and so far over the course of 33 years, she has never complained and always worn or used what I've gotten her. I've constantly told her what I'd like to have, but she refuses to buy me anything gun related, even a box of shells, so I don't request anymore. I tell her, don't get me anything. She usually gets me clothes that are too small and have to be returned. I wish I could see me through her eyes.

I always get my wife something Sparkly and I tell her I just want Money. That way If I ever do see something I want I can go get it.

She has to tell me what she wants because I forget when it gets time for Christmas and birthdays. She was a good wife and bought me a Harley for Christmas so I guess I'm going to have to step it up a notch this year.

I've asked my girlfriend a million times what she would like for Christmas. She just keeps saying, "I don't want anything". Well boys...and girls, this turnip didn't fall off that truck last night. I'm gonna get her something and if she doesn't like it or it doesn't fit, oh well I tried.
