It's not a gag. I don't want or need anything.
But I have to provide some kind of idea or everyone gets all pissy "because you don't have anything to open." I don't WANT anything to open. I'm fine just sitting there b/c at this stage of my life I don't WANT or need anything that I don't get myself.
So, I always just say "a gift card to the book store is nice" and I'm done with it. That way I can get what I want for my Nook.
