I'm just going to put this out there. Any of yall who think that the national forest is good hunting, well I feel sorry for you, because obviously yall have never experienced even half ass decent hunting. I've walked hundreds of miles in those mountains chasing turkeys and I can only remember jumping deer twice.
Also, you could put a stud buck in front of me in some of the places I turkey hunt and you would have to pay me a lot of money to shoot it. I can only imagine how brutal it would be hauling a deer out of those mountains Agreed there are some good deer every year taken but if you have to hunt 20 days straight to see a deer you have not hunted a good piece of property. That place has some pretty woods but.not enough deer for me to hunt it

TNF in Perry county is some of the toughest hunting I have experienced. Lots of land that you can spread out on, but low deer density, very smart and SKITTISH DEER and be prepared to walk, walk, walk. No ATVs allowed so if you kill one you had better be in shape or sneak in after dark pick it up.
