I've worn Lacrosse rubber boots for as long as I can remember, but frankly they are heavy. And I've come to the opinion that it don't matter worth a crap about scent control. About the only advantage is being water proof nearly to my knees. Let's hear your thoughts...

I've worn both. I can keep deer from scenting my trail by soraying down with dead down wind and pine cover scent. I then grind my feet into the ground before walking in. I haven't had a deer check up crossing my trail yet, since I've done this. Leather boots are more comfortable and are warmer to me.

I wear Lacrosse rubber boots. I don't wear them because of scent control. I never understood that mentality anyway. I wear them because I hunt bottomland and need them. I can't wear leather boots, because they aren't tall enough.

Tennis shoes if it's dry or rubber muck boots if it's wet or raining.

I wear both rubber and leather...just depends. I do worry about scent control but my friend who smokes has killed some biguns with a cig in his mouth. No joke !

Rubber boots for me. The water issue is my biggest reason.

Mainly only rubber. It's just so wet in the winter on our place and with rubber I don't have to worry about where I step.

I wear muck boots or my snake boots.

Both (not at the same time) depending on recent rain and where I'll be hunting. I prefer leather boots with heavy lug soles.

same here, but I've never liked my Mucks. I think I bought them too big. I'm to cheap to buy another pair until I wear these out though.

I will always use rubber boots at my farm to get in and out because frankly it's too small of an area to be stinking up with my regular work boots and the entire 50 acres is one big creek bottom basically.

At my buddies and another piece of property I hunt it's a lot hillier and every time I go for a hike in those stinking rubber boots I wanna throw them out when I'm done, always sliding in the footbed and never enough ankle support. I am at the point now where I want to get some insulated leather boots and say f it to rubbers except in creek bottom areas. When you are hiking you need hiking boots. I can't ever tell if rubber boots make a difference with scent either.

Both. I have some leathers for cold weather, but prefer the lacrosse rubbers for comfort....I say that because I don't have a "quality" leather boot. They just feel bulky.

I wear mostly Cordura but do own a couple pair of leathers.I tried the rubbers years ago but tore up a pair a year so I stopped wasting my money.

Rubber. A couple places hunt, I'll walk down the middle of the creek until I'm nearly at the tree I'm going to climb.
