A wise man once told me that "It's much easier to find a job when you have one" and I believe it. This right here. If i were you, i'd take the option on the table. with a good salary coming in, it will open opportunities for you to do the things you enjoy while still looking for a job that better fits what you want. For sure!

I just graduated college and got offered a job and it pays well but I honestly don't feel like I'm going to enjoy it a bit. Thinking about the job just makes me unhappy already.
I want to work in the outdoor industry so I'm needing a job that would give me some background in a job setting. The job I was offered gives zero help towards that goal. I don't want to work a job that the only plus is money because I was raised better and to be smarter than that.
I'm 22, business management degree and graduated less than a month ago. I don't have anybody knocking on the door for bills and I'll be fine. Should I hold off and wait for a job that I'll enjoy and pay less or jump on the train? Could you be more specific when you say "the outdoor industry"? A background in business management can be put to use in a wide variety of fields including outdoor industries. If I were single and right out of college I'd take the job you've been offered and live like a monk for at least a year and sock away as much cash as possible while I researched the "outdoor industry".

Take the job, keep looking for what you really want to do, save up some money. Its easier to get a job when you already have one.

If you're not going forward you may as well have it in reverse.

As it has been said on here multiple times, take the job, gain experience, and keep looking for what you really want.
I have a degree from Auburn in Wildlife Science, but I am a project manager for an electrical contractor. I worked my way through school doing electrical work. I was figuring on using my trade as a back up plan. I stayed with my employer for, six months after graduation, I was topped out, and it was going nowhere.
I took a chance, and moved to Texas to take a job working on a deer ranch, in order to break into the wildlife field. Shortly after starting work in Texas, I learned several things: 1.) I hated Texas 2.) I didn't like deer as much as I thought I did 3.) The pay cut I took to be happy was not worth it, because I was constantly worried about money. I knew I wanted to move back to Alabama, so I worked hard and fufilled my contact. I moved home around Christmas of last year.
I met with a friend of the family the day I got back, for career advice. He told me that if I wanted to find a job in the Birmingham area that made me happy, I needed to get some kind of job in Birmingham and move there. Then I could look for "the" job. I found a job at a machine shop, doing maintenance electrical work, and learning to do machine work. The pay was not great, but there was room for growth, and I could continue looking for the right job.
Three months later, the dream job fell into my lap. Actually, two very competitive offers on the same day. I enjoy my new job most of the time, and there is room for growth. I had. To go through a lot of crap to find something I really like. Sorry for the long read, but I hope my experiences and mistakes can help you in some way.

At least if you take this job you'll have negotiation grounds for when the right job comes along. Make the new company pay you more. IMO you'll have a better chance of making more money at the job that you want by having some job experience.
Take the job, save some money. If you absolutely hate it, leave it.

You have nothing to lose by taking the current job offer. If you find that it is totally unacceptable, quit. However, as most experienced people have told you already, it is MUCH easier to find a job if you already have one, plus it gives you some leverage. Not many folks want to hire someone without any work experience at all and pay them well. Good Luck!

Take the bird in the hand especially if they will pay for training or you have an opportunity to manage people or projects. Don't add on any debt because it will get you trapped. Live like you are poor. Start putting money in a 401k as soon as possible and put in at least as much as the company will match. Start looking around for the type job you truly want and position your skills and training in line with what that career requires or can benefit from. Roll over any 401k money straight to next company's plan.
Oh, and never ever get your poon and paycheck from the same place.

Jobs in the outdoors industry aren't always what they're cracked up to be. I know this for a fact.
Take the job, gain some experience, sock away the money - truly save it like a miser trying to keep his last penny - do your best at it, learn from it and continue to look for other jobs.
