Me and the wife had a date night tonight and dropped the young-un off at my parents house and went to a decent steakhouse. Does y'all's wife or lady dump A1 or any other steak sauce on every steak they eat weather it be a cheap or expensive steak? It drives me nuts. I ask her if it's necessary everytime she does it and she tells me to shut up that she likes A1. To me, I better not even have to think about using any kind of sauce while eating a steak. Pet peeve of anyone else or just me?

I like salt, pepper and fire on my steak. Don't put no damn dales or marinade or a1 on my steak. You might get cut! People can flat sure ruin a good hunk of meat by smother crap all over it.

Jamie does the same thing.

She also uses ketchup on every meat other then steak- any kind of chicken, pork chops, burgers, hot dogs. It all gets a good dousing of ketchup. It's weird to me, I stopped using ketchup on everything when I turned 5.

Try having my wife-she puts ketchup on hers no matter how it tastes.

What about cooking it well done. My damn MIL has to have hers burned to a crisp. My wife did when we met too but I broke her of that. Now it's all med rare here. Cooking a fine steak well done pisses me off as bad as A1 or 57.

That's why mine orders shrimp. I've given her too much crap about eating burnt shoe leather for a steak.

Give me a well marbled prime rib med rare and I better not have to ask for steak sauce if I'm paying.

Mine use to order well done too! I've got her down to med. I like mine med rare. If it's gonna be cooked past med or have sauce on it, they may as well just order the cheapest scrap steak on the menu.

Just buy her chicken from now on. Chicken drowned in A-1 tastes the same as steak drowned in A-1 and is a lot cheaper.

Lord, please help us get our nation straightened out.

Amen. I'm a rarer than rare kind of guy with my steak...no sauce or anything. But, I don't give a crap how anyone else eats theirs. I got other things to worry about.

People like what they like.
