Y'all must be down there past the minner farms. I've always told my wife if we ever move back home I'd like to live out that way. Pretty little area.
I agree with what several have said.....Too much pressure on a small property. Best thing you can do with a property like that is fix it up and then limit your hunting until the time gets right. Allow the deer to get pressured from surrounding areas and move into the non-pressured land. Wait until a good cold snap hits around rutting time and then move in and hunt stands with good winds. Less is more on a small property. I love to hunt too but there's a trade off for spending lots of time in the woods when the time isn't right.
I know you're going to want to hunt some before the rut though so something that will help you out is to have "low impact stands" to hunt that allows you to slip into the property and out of without disturbing anything. The wind should be considered in this as well. Have some stands that you can get to on the edge of the property that are just simple in and out without having to walk way into the property jumping deer.
Also....start looking at your entry and exit routes that you take into the property. If you're continually jumping deer going in and coming out that's not good. You want to be able to access your spots without disturbing the deer around you. The best looking spot is no good if you run everything out on the way to get to it. You may need to change the way you go to your stands or even modify your trails with some hinge cuttings to hide yourself.
