Bullet went through so fast it didn't have time to expand. can be true. There are certain bullet heads that expand better and have reliable expansion only in certain range of FPS. What are the best gun myths you've heard?
Example, bullets rise when they come out of the barrel, a _____ is a good brush gun, it'll shoot right through bushes, etc. And a round will rise then flatten out then begin to descend once it lose energy Wrong and wrong. Bullets can go too slow to expand but not too fast to expand unless it is somehow faulty or designed not to expand, as in solids. A bullet does not ever rise. It starts to fall from the time it leaves the barrel. The perception is that it rises because you have aimed it up with reference to the scope line of sight, so that it will level out or fall on target at your point of aim. Dang it Clark, you spoilin' the fun. To actually rise, it would need wings so it could generate lift. Now that would be interesting. Anyone who has said it rises shouldn't feel bad though. Even people who know better have said the same thing because it is an easy way to describe the perceived effect without drawing a picture.
