a 30/30 is a good "brush" gun because it can shoot thru brush.

I was shooting at a pig in a TiTi Swamp and bullet hit a twig about the size of 3 round tooth picks that was about 20 ft in front of barrel, Pig I was aiming at was 15 yards, pig I hit was almost 30 yards beyond the one I aimed at, I didn't even know he was there. Bullet....30/30 with open sights, deflected off twig, went over intended Pig and clipped the backbone of unfortunate in the wrong place at wrong time pig.

can be true. There are certain bullet heads that expand better and have reliable expansion only in certain range of FPS.

A bullet can not come out of a perfectly horizontal gun and go up. The muzzle has to be pointed at an upward angle to do so.

It's the line of site , it's adjustable, usually going below the line of the bullet close in, then as the bullet looses velocity it falls below the line of sight at distance.

Thats not a myth . . . . . .their position in relation to the shooter and the deer is important though.

A bullet does rise because your line of sight is higher than the bore. So you ARE aiming the gun UP to your line of sight. Right? grin
