I've never heard my bullet hit a deer Shoot one with a 45-70 at 150 yards. You won't be able to make this statement again  B/c of slow moving bullet? Because of big, heavy, slow moving bullet...about 2000fps. BUT, I've heard bullet impact on deer with my son's .270 when I was about a half mile down the way from him and have heard it from unknown shooters in the distance too.
Get the F out of the BATFE. The F is guaranteed by the US Constitution. Those other letters are not.
