I've got this buck on camera the last 3 seasons in a row. He definitely an old buck and I think he was on his way down hill. Last year he was a nice 8 probably in the 130" range and the year before he was just a tad bigger. Went to the lease to pull some cards and about 3:00 the rain had slowed to a drizzle. Decided against bow hunting as I didn't want my bow getting wet the whole hunt. So I took my rifle and sat on a sage field with a green field about 260 yards away. This old boy showed up right at 5:00, he actually had another buck with him, he was a good solid 8 just a year or so too young. The big boy ran the smaller buck off and I let him have it. I've got tons of trail cams of this dude and as soon as he stepped out I knew what deer it was. He was right at 265 yards away when I shot and he dropped in his tracks! He weighed 214 and from what I could feel he appears to be between 6.5-7.5 years old!! He was an old warrior who lived a good life, almost sad to see him go after all these years of chasing him!
