This has been documented on multiple occasions.


My father use to be a paramedic, he told me on numerous occasions of people trying to commit suicide tried to shot themselves in the head with a .22, it just zipped around the skull and exit.



Brother in law committed suicide by shooting himself in the chest with a 22lr revolver.
Bullet entered just above his left nipple, clipped the Aorta at the top of his heart traveled up his spine and lodged in his neck just under his left ear.
He died within 5 minutes....I lived next door and by the time I got over there he was already ashen gray in the face and slumped over just as I reached him nothing I could do but watch him die.
Doctor said it would not have helped him if he did that sitting in the ER.
This description was from his autopsy.
