Montgomery County:
Early Season/Bow: Above average(best time to kill a good buck on our place is bow season)
Mid Season: Below Average (rifle season in full swing and daylight activity has slowed, still see some does but no mature bucks)
Late: Average until the rut and then Above average when we get a rut. Big bucks are on their feet cruising, while your younger bucks are chasing every un-hot doe they see! Big bucks will make an occasional appearance. Late season and early bow are my 2 best chances at killing a mature buck.

Pine plantations of Macon and Barbour......all sightings were pretty normal. Real hardcore rutting activity is weak though compared to year's past.

Fayette county BELOW BELOW BELOW
that being said I'm giving it one more year. If next year is as bad as the last couple of years, I'm seriously considering giving up hunting in Alabama and taking the resources & applying those to a couple of out of state hunts. That's my thoughts on deer hunting here now. It has steadily gone down hill the last 5-8 years or so.

Chilton below average in all three categories for deer in general. Buck sightings were above average for early and middle.
Would walk over a naked woman to get to a gobblin turkey!
