I hope this doesn't come across as a smart-alec response, it's not my intent:

Just because it's lawful doesn't mean I have to kill them. Based on my personal feelings, I'd rather they close doe harvest OR put a small limit on them, but it's not a hill I'd die on. Where I hunt we've been able to kill a buck and TWO DOES PER DAY, but other than one or two with my bow each year, I haven't killed a doe with a gun in who knows when...maybe 8-10 years. We seem to have a plentiful population, but I simply do not believe in overpopulation of free-range deer in Alabama's climate and abundance of food. It's just each fella's opinion, but I see zero reason for killing does unless I just want one to eat, or because it's a ball to flonk one with an arra!
