There have always been people who have used God's word as a reason to hate. The pick the parts that suit there own personal opinions and ignore the parts that challenge those personal beliefs. It's human nature. We are flawed. God is not. Look to Him for your answers instead of looking to other men. When we completely surrender we can do the impossible. It's then that Christ is revealed in us. How could we love someone whose lifestyle we hate? Because Christ loves them and if we are truly surrendered and His spirit is living through us, then our actions reflect His. We will still sin and fall short but it won't be an ongoing wilful sin. The bible says where there is willful, unrepentant sin there ceases to be Grace. Where there is no Grace there is no salvation. That's why if the homosexual continues in the practice he can't be saved just like if we continue on in wilful sin we aren't saved either. The bible addresses all this better than I can but don't let someone else be a stumbling block to your eternity.
