I'd be polishing up that resume if I were you....

Hypothetically, let's say I were to lose the key to my boss' bad boy. I am pretty sure it's a 2008ish model. I am trying to buy one without him knowing and get it back down to camp. Just trying to keep the hell he will give me about losing something to minimum. Besides calling bad boy, anyone have any ideas? Does he hypothetically know you took his buggy?

I would think the serial number off the buggy, and taking it to a Polaris dealer would work.
Or just man up and tell your boss.
As asked were you using it with permission, hypothetically?

Serious question........do you know anyone with a metal detector you could borrow to look for it?

Why would he tell the boss? He's going to have to get a new key either way. No way I'd tell if I didn't have to. New key = no harm done. Boss may not see it that way. What if after you replace the key, the boss finds out you lost it and didn't tell him? Will he feel as if you were doing something behind his back and trying to hide something? I feel your better off telling him, and accepting the jokes, or consequences, rather than possibly losing his trust in you. God Bless, David B.
