Just like it says on the box, they can and do travel miles and do some goofy stuff. First time I saw a night fire with full tracers convinced me that bullets can richocet in any direction. I love to shoot too, but I would have to try something else other than shoot there without a serious berm in place and be fairly close to it.

Years ago, I was shooting a 22. The bullet ricocheted and hit my neighbors kitchen window. His house was 90 degrees to my left and in line with my firing line. He and I both couldn't figure out how it hit his house, but it did. The moral is, like everyone else has said, bullets do some crazy stuff. Unfortunately, if I was your neighbor, I'd be more than a little nervous every time I heard you pop a cap.

Honestly, I would move my range. That setup is begging for trouble.

I'll echo the majority opinion. That is all I can contribute.

Think how you'd feel if you found out you'd actually hurt someone. Act on that thought and you'll be fine.

However regardless what was said about a sand trap if you were to shoot into.my direction whatsoever regardless of caliber or skill I will go all Iraq veteran on that ass! It is your call however safety is primary fun is secondary.

I agree with everyone. I'll definitely be consulting the property owner to see if there is a direction or precaution that would make him feel comfortable.
