Shotguns are ok but only if they're single shot? No guns at all, only bows? No compounds, gotta use a long bow like the Indians did? oops, bows are too much of a crutch, gotta grab one and strangle it to death like Troy posted about. I don't really like the idea of using decoys or a fan to kill birds. They are a crutch. Now, that isn't to say I would never use one. Specifically, if I'm out of state and have a limited amount of time to kill out. I'm not bashing people who use them all the time, I really don't care what you use. But at the end of the day, someone who relies on decoys or a fan, isn't going to become near as good of a hunter. The thing I like better about fans than spinners, is atleast the people using fans aren't generally directly competing with me for the same birds.
