Nobody on Team 1 has talked smack or bragged yet... We all believe we can be beat. The past is just the past, it's what's ahead that counts... And trust me the number 5 call is not even in the planning... It's up to your team to keep members motivated. The season can be tough, I killed opening day and never got a bird in range till the last weekend, ya just have to be persistent...

One hand picked 3 man team matched with another handpicked 3 man team sounds like a good deal. At least you would know a few folks on your team. In the end the non-participants would more than likely end up on the same team but at the same time if your not part of a hand picked team of three your chances of being on a team of non-participants increases dramatically. This would also increase the number of competitive teams. I know this is all for fun but knowing your team isn't even in the running because of a dead weight almost defeats the purpose of signing up for the contest.

No offense my friend, but ya'll got beat by almost 200 points (still did finish 2nd though). Ya'll could have had 7 guys and most likely the result would have been exactly the same. If you ain't first, you're last.

That's what I was thinking Todd!! We ain't scared of any team at this point. We won 2 years with ArKic being in Germany and not scoring a bird. You CAN win with a guy getting skunked. You ain't gonna win by killin 2 year olds though......

The more I read the comments and suggestions on how to make things more competitive it all cracks me up

You guys do realize two of us hunt multiple states right? We normally kill well over 5 birds each due to this fact. We communicate very well as a team. Most if not all of us know how each other's season is going. As a teammate and to help my team they all have an open invite to hunt with me or ask for help. I've never had a single one take me up on the offer but as a team player I feel obligated to help my teammates if need be. In my opinion that's helping a teammate rather than entering a extra bird on his behalf over my limit of 3.

I do not speak for my teammates opinion but I'll share mine. I'm willing to go along with 16 to 18 bird entry format or whatever has been dreamed up if only we are "declared the Aldeer turkey team of all time that could not be dethroned under the current format and rules". This title also needs to be posted in a sticky thread every year in the turkey contest forum as long this website remains active. I'm sure Scott can deign us a nice internet trophy of sorts to go along with our new title In closing this contest is not easy to win! I feel confident in saying my teammates and I hunt hard and often! Whoever beats us under the current format will earn every second of it.
