You all need to spend the 20 dollars for a simple driveway monitor that sounds in your house.

Ive used them for over 15 years now and in Ive caught a number of people from them. And I also have a cheap $149 motion camera that is remore activated outside and records in my home. That way you can not only catch the SOB but have video of them.

Then this would have happened when you heard the alarm go off:

and some great still shots from a game cam too. You all at least have game cams. Why not use them?
