Def Leppard
Dokken
Ratt
Slaughter
Kiss
Bullet Boys
Warrant
Stryper
White Lion
Queensryche
Cinderella
GNR
Quiet Riot

I don't include Metal bands in with the hair
bands but Metallica, Iron Maiden, Pantera and Anthrax were some other good ones from that era.

What Bill said.

But I have to add:

Scorpions

Night Ranger

Ozzy

Van Halen

Sammy Hagar

A few of the Chick bands I could tolerate were:

Joan Jett

Pat Benatar

The GoGo's

Bangles

Gwen Stefani

Debra Harry

Well, some from the last list were just Eye candy.

If I had to pick two it'd probably be Poison and Cinderella. Saw them both several times. Not sure I'd consider them a hair band, but I've always been an Aerosmith fan and still listen to all their music, including their latest albums. Saw them several times and was able to see them again in Atlanta last summer. They've still got it, even in their 60's.

Oh Yea, Put Foreigner on the list too.

Standing in the rain;
With his head hung low;
Couldn't get a ticket;
It was a sold out show.....

And Dire Straights....and, and....well, nevermind

Dang it. Some of the best times of my younger days were at some of their shows. The women came out in droves when they played.

Paging hippi... This thread is his area of expertise.

Metallica, Megadeth, Slayer, Iron Maiden, Motley Crue get my vote for favorite 80s/early 90s metal...

Big hair? I was thinking more like Coleen Brenan, Kimberly Carson, Candy Evans.......

I firmly believe that a double gallows should be constructed on the East Lawn of The White House. Politicians who willfully and shamelessly violate their oath to uphold and defend the Constitution of the United States of America should be swiftly tried and, upon conviction, publicly hanged at sunup the day after conviction. If multiple convicts are to be hanged they can choose with whom to share the gallows or names shall be drawn from the hangman's hat to be hanged 2 at a time.

Metallica is not a hair band.

Crue is however, and they were the best.

May as well have been after the "black" album. But yes, the Crue was/is phenomenal...
