I guess I am one of the ones you are talking to. For clarification I never said anything about killing someone for crossing a property line. I said two jokers with shotguns weren't going to storm up to me in the woods and punch me in the nose while I'm holding a shotgun.

I've researched this legally, and did you happen to know that in the state of AL, there doesn't HAVE to be posted notices anywhere? It's everybody's "responsibility" to know where the lines are, and to stay on the proper side.

The city slicker & tan pants pulled that "excuse" on me, and I set them straight on that, too. And, just so you know, we've got posted signs EVERYWHERE on our property, including the very spot they parked their car to hike deep into my woods.

I've noticed a trend lately where people read only what they want to read and have a general disregard of property lines & private land ownership -- until they're called out on it, at which point they get their panties in a wad & run the risk of getting a black eye. I'm helping a friend of mine deal with a lady that's riding her horse & running her dogs on their private/posted/fenced land; in fact, when we went to scout, THERE SHE WAS; she's literally rutted out a path around the biggest metal gate I've seen in my life, just so she can TRESPASS & ride her horse! Since it's not my land, I couldn't & didn't say anything to the woman, but what I WANTED to say was, "Don't you realize that you're trespassing on private property, ma'am???" She just rode on past us, like ... eh, just another day in paradise... That's the attitude I'm talking about; and if you come on my land, it won't be tolerated, period.

It means this right here: my bow was facing the dude. How was I supposed to know that they weren't "armed & dangerous"? To be on the safe side, I had my bow in my hand, up in my tree, in my woods, protecting what was rightfully mine.
