No worries, I could care less either way. You were in the wrong either way, but there had to be more to it to warrant a little fight. Not sure if you have had a run in with your neighbors before, but I'm sure something more than being 50 yards across the line is what set them off. I think it's very important to have decent relationships with your land neighbors because with unmarked property lines, small incursions happen often and I'm sure, that if there had been no previous bad blood or some instigating during the current encounter, that nothing but a hand shake would have taken place. Either way, it's probably not a good thing (with this crowd) to spell out a story explaining you were trespassing and got roughed up, then looking for sympathy. I don't agree with violence when weapons are around, but they obviously were pretty fired up to start a fist fight with a guy that has a gun.

Good luck mending that fence with them, but I would recommend inviting them over for a beer and try to become cordial

Alright, two things here. This feller is a big turkey hunter best I can tell just by seeing his truck in the spring quite a great deal. Was sorta worried at first he might be on here, but don't guess he is. I hadn't ever seen the guys face till this week, but the history is Two fold. Let's just say I know his current girlfriend a little but from many moons ago. Although I can't be sure if he actually knows that, haven't seen her in about ten years, but she was a tomcat! Have no idea if this has anything to do with it. Also about two years ago when we were planting pulpwood, he had a run in with dirty bird about road access to get our seed buggy in. Flat out said we couldn't use his road, which was rude.
