It could have been a lot worse CM. Shooting someone because one is too selfish about their actions to pay attention to and respect property lines for starters. I believe in an earlier post you stated you had previous history with the property owner whose land you were on. Lucky it wasn't my land, You'd have gotten a ticket from the game warden for hunting without permission as well as trespassing. A hit in the wallet like that will make you think twice before doing that again. No critter in the woods is worth it.

Ive fought in the actual ring competing in full contact boxing and martial arts since I was 12. I stopped at 46!
Ive had more black eyes then you can imagine even after winning as you take a bunch of hits. My nose has been busted 3 times and I have scars over and under both eyes from eating punches and kicks.

A fighter isnt he who can dish out a hit..its he who CAN TAKE a dang hit and still KEEP dishing it out! That separates the men..from the dang boys trust me.

You get the purple coloring under your eyes from the blood vessels rupturing,..and then clotting.
But, around the top of your eyes you get brown, black and blue coloring. You also get almost pure black directly under your eyes as that is where the clotted blood seems to settle. Sucks..but you live with it.

That looks like...and my wife agrees..someone getting into his wifes purple eye shadow. And trust me...she actually fought full contact as well..and has her share of black eyes too.

Our son still does.

His nose would be swollen and abrased..in my humble opinion.

Outdoor. Thanks for sharing. Yes, I hunt with him and I can tell you he was pretty shook up about it. Imagine if it got out of hand even worse. You gotta admit two on one in the middle of the woods is more than intimidating and you dont even know these outlaw neighbors we have to deal with. He did say he was out of line but he was nervous for obvious reasons. It is what it is, he was in the wrong and them boys was pissed but we do and we have proof sneak into our santuary which happens to border our properties. Bottom line is it is miserable to have neighbors you dont get along with, nothing good ever comes from not all being on the same page.
