If you truly don't realize how you got a pissy attitude way too quick at the beginning of this thread, and you truly don't understand how that killed pretty much any chance you had of getting info from most of these guys here, then there's no way we can make you understand it. It is clearly beyond your comprehension.

I come from hunting with guys my whole life who would help you in any way they can. From that perspective, you don't seem like much of a hunter to me.

I don't have a dog in this fight because I don't hunt public land, but here's what you seem to be having problems with. Evidently, the fellow hunters you've been around in the past have been outstanding people - folks who'd do any and everything to help someone else have success.

Aldeer has MANY of those kind of people on it... guys who'd do anything they can to help guys be more successful. However, Aldeer also has some people that are just the opposite. They are hunters who lurk on these boards just waiting for tidbits of information that they can use to THEIR benefit. IF you were to post the coordinates of a bird that gobbles 100 times every morning on public land, I guarantee you will see hunters at that location tomorrow morning.

Because of the presence of this second type of people on Aldeer, even the helpful people on this forum are very tight-lipped. Though they probably wouldn't be that way person-to-person, they are that way here because they've learned that loose lips on this site "sinks ships".

You may not acknowledge it, but in your original post when you asked "Can any of you guys give me some tips or advice on what areas to focus on or avoid", you're asking for advice on "spots" to hunt - and no matter what you say now to clarify it, that was what you asked. Your response when people replied to your OP has been to call people names, tell people why they should be more helpful, and generally paint everyone on this forum in a bad light. Even the most helpful people aren't prone to help someone who reacts in this way. If you want help, ask your questions and sit back and read the comments - and if they don't provide what you want move along. Reacting by name calling and disparaging everyone? Most folks on this site automatically click off the thread - and they certainly won't be benevolent to you.

I think the point is on the table, lets move along. Tidefan, good luck with your scouting, it takes a lot of work or a lot of luck to kill public land birds.
