$1,500 is the most I've ever paid for a "club", so to speak. Three of us paid about $1,800 each for a few years to lease our own land, but when all was said and done (planting, fuel, gates, etc) there's no telling what we really had in it. I got out of it simply for financial reasons (cost vs benefit analysis). I'm not sure I'd ever pay over $1,000 to join a club again, I'd just lease my own land.

We were on the edge of Eternia, when the power of Greyskull began to take hold.

I was in 2 clubs and 2 leases last year and it was just under $5000. I dropped one of the clubs and joined a new club so this year I will have $5250 in hunting land. If I didn't hog hunt then I would only be in one club

My suggestin to you if that's all you want^. For your one buck Go hunt a week in western KY public land LBL, H&H.... It'll cost you a total of $500. Then kill your does on public land in Alabama.

I have been to KY a few times seen a ton of deer seen some absolute studs to far away to shoot. And I have yet to kill a 130"+ deer up there. Could have killed some 115" bucks but that is not why I went up there. I can do that here.

I plan on going bow hunting in KY as well this fall. I think it's $260 for the license and permit for the WMA I'm going to. Plus fuel and hotel but that will be split between four people.

I just dont see myself paying over 1K unless its right at my house and produces quality deer. I actually have had 1 opportunity this upcoming year to join just right down the road for a little over that but this year im gona stay in the $700 range and just scout and hunt a little harder.

If I found the right club and it was close enough to home I would go to $2000. But right now I'm still splitting the little hunting time I have between club by the house and the one in Tuscaloosa. I've debated getting out of that one but with my son going to UA it's a chance for some hunting time with him still.

Currently I pay 320 for out of state license w WMA license to hunt AL. 50 for the NC Sportsmans License. At this point if I could find a decent "meat" club in either state, under 1K I'd be willing to pony up. Unfortunately any club around this area is way out of my price range, due to a lot of folks willing to pay top dollar for a lease. Seems like the same is happening back in AL. Granted I am really only looking for clubs in AL that are within an hour of my folks place in Oxford. Finding a club that fits my type of hunting and budget has proved difficult, but I manage on the public lands pretty well. As long as their is a high demand for land or trophy Bucks there will be folks dropping money on it.

Now if an opportunity came up for a dog club that runs deer and bear here in NC I'd be willing to drop a fair amount more. I've dog hunted a few times in AL and I would love to be able to do that all season.

I would think ones income and overall financial condition would have to come into play. If I am 55 years old, make $200,000 a year and have no mortgage or kids to put through college, I could probably justify $1,500 a year for a club - versus the 30 year old who makes $50,000 a year and is just starting out.

There is no doubt your financial situation plays a huge part. That is what I asked what kind of guidelines do you use to base it off of.
I am not 55 yet but if I was making $200,000 I would be able to afford more than $1,500. I payed more than that last year on a lot less than $200,000
