Brandon: We REAL turkey hunters call them a "flock" of jakes, not a "herd". Just busting your chops out of jealousy for your skills vs my lack thereof. "real" turkey hunters know that a herd is more than a flock. Dang city slickers from Yankee land trying to tell us southerners how to turkey hunt.

11 of 12 tags filled in Texas. I still like one but we are going to go hunt ok tomorrow and Tuesday and I can come back to tx since it is on the way back and forth to ok.
I called in a "herd" of 19 gobbling jakes this afternoon after calling in 9 total this morning. They don't understand how hard it is not to kill one sometimes.

A few 3 year olds, nothing over 1 1/4". Mostly 2 year olds. Could have filled my tag on a jake 100 times. 11 good birds though

Now we are at 13 birds. David and I have got one so far today. Dude showing us his OK farm Lewis out right in the middle of the roost so we have been playing catch up all day. Dang jakes are everywhere.

Been a great trip. We are all dead tired and beat up, but having a blast. I'm sleeping in tomorrow or going to be a camera man for one of the other 2 I think.
I'll text you some pics Matt and let you post a couple. Service isn't good where we are sitting right now.
