I killed a small piebald buck about 20 years ago. I was in college at the time and didn't have a camera, so I saved the hide with plans on getting it tanned. Unfortunately a beer drinking broke out that night and I forgot to ice it down and let it spoil.

I have seen several over the years from the highway.

Back in the 80s I would see a few does in Clark county. We were overrun with does. Didn't shoot them.

I've seen 3 and never killed one.

First one was a doe in Wilcox County in 1996. She had a football shaped white spot right behind her shoulder on each side.

Second one was a doe in Southern Illinois in 1998. She had a solid white head.

Third was a 100" 8-point in Montgomery County. I could have killed him be he wasn't big enough and he only had just a little white on his hips on each side.

I killed a piebald doe 4 years ago in Tuscaloosa County.

She had white speckling from her belly down and had solid white legs. Her legs were short and stumpy. She was only as tall as her yearlings but weighed 90 pounds.

I've only seen two in my life. One crossed a road in front of me in Chambers Co Alabama around 3 in the morning. The other one happened during a big youth hunt my club put on the first year I was president of it. It was a buttonhead but it had more white than brown on it.

First deer I ever shot was a 6 point piebald buck. I was on a dog drive in south Georgia and it ran by me so fast I didn't realize it was half white until I walked up to where he fell. I've since seen 3 other piebald bucks, 2 piebald does and an albino doe in the wild here in Alabama. 3 of them have been in Pike county, another 2 in Coosa county and 1 in Autauga county.

Too many people know about her. I saw her in my neighbors pasture last week. She won't make it long this next fall. She's too visible, and lot of eyes on her.

Got this doe on camera at a club in north Tuscaloosa county that I hunted in. Saw her several times in bow season. She went missing soon after rifle season opened. I guess she was killed on another club.

I absolutely agree with Bham. But I absolutely wouldn't discourage anyone from shooting one. In fact, I would encourage a kid to shoot it. Just my distorted way of thinking.

I killed a piebald spike about 5 years ago. He was almost solid white. Very little brown on him. I have the hide taned.
