My good friend's 13 year old daughter was sent home from school for wearing a tee shirt with a picture of a dog, a duck, and a shotgun on it. mad

This was in Lee county.

You are full of sh!t. Your good friends' cousin brother in law neighbors dog cousin's daddy told you to get fired up about something or another on the internet and that is best you could do?

I will get more information later today. I don't post things unless I believe it. My wife read this off of my friends Facebook page last night. I haven't spoken to him yet directly but will after I go turkey hunting today. This is from a good friend that is a pastor and now is employed by my small company. I do personally know them very well.

For the doubters. It is true guys! It was my daughter. It was a "The Southern Company" tshirt. The picture was of a puppy and a shotgun. The school was Opelika Middle School. She was in violation of their dress code due to the gun on the shirt. Her science teacher is the one that called her out and sent her to the principal's office.

From what I read, it has nothing to do with being a hunting shirt. It has to do with having a gun on the shirt. Almost every school has a rule in the dress code about clothing with guns. So, she should have known she couldn't wear it.

My apologies for being harsh. I am always skeptical whenever someone says "my friend told me..."

That science teacher and principle need some adjustment, they are clearly being racist against standard middle American culture and should be called on it.

This is the answer. Your problem is with the rules, not the teachers following the rules.

The POTUS doesn't follow the rules, why should the teachers?

She had worn this shirt at least a half dozen times this year. Suddenly, yesterday is the one day it mattered to a teacher. I also know for a fact that kids wear shirts with pictures of gangsta rappers, who do actually promote violence, and they do not get sent home. Lately, it just seems like there is a huge double standard in our society.
