I guess the reason I don't consider it out of the norm for the GW to take the keys is due to places I've hunted in the past. I guarantee you if ou left the keys in your 4-wheeler in places I've hunted in the past, you wouldn't make it to your spot before someone stole it. Then again, you say you were way back in the woods so, there goes that idea. Who knows what he was up too?
If voting made any difference, they wouldn’t let us do it.-Mark Twain

I would have been PISSED if he had my ATV keys. That's bullshit for all the reasons previously stated. However, my ATV keys are always in my backpack when I'm not riding it.
I firmly believe that a double gallows should be constructed on the East Lawn of The White House. Politicians who willfully and shamelessly violate their oath to uphold and defend the Constitution of the United States of America should be swiftly tried and, upon conviction, publicly hanged at sunup the day after conviction. If multiple convicts are to be hanged they can choose with whom to share the gallows or names shall be drawn from the hangman's hat to be hanged 2 at a time.

There is one GW in my county that is a total clown. A few years back we caught a few poachers on our property so we called the GW, he shows up and writes both men tickets and we all go on our way, a few months later we get a court date to the hearing and both men walk scotch free, best part of it is the GW didn't even show up for court, we asked two LEO's were he was and they both had two diffrent excuses about his where abouts that morning. I believe he has been "bought and paid for" many of times. Next time go to the clerks office and press changes, cut the GW out. Then if they walk the DA will have some splainin' to do. I agree 100%

Jerry has been a game warden in Pike Co for over 40 years, I would guess he knows what he can or can't get away with. Fify

BhamFred, you are the most unintellectual partially educated person on this site. I don't care how old your deccrepped mind/body is. You're a dumbass. I think you did real good writing that sentence...for a skwerl brained 12 year old girl. You forgot to put brain dead in your post. You seem to be obsessed with that term. Go kill a fallow deer in a fence you old has been fcker.

I hide my keys close to my wheeler. That way i won't lose them in the woods 20 miles from the truck. This! DO NOT look under that rock laying close to my 4 wheeler. Id never hide em there...lol. However, he has No right to grab your keys. You are free from unlawful search and SEIZURES according to the constitution. Unless he had Probable cause of a crime or previous evidence of one, he had no right to seize your keys. You could have been...and it appears were...100% lawful. I would report the incident so he doesnt do it again. What if you had been snake bit? he would have left you in a situation where you would have been forced to either walk or wait...both with seriously adverse to your health in that situation.

Key word in all this should be, "Probable Cause".
And my keys stay with me.
Life is a journey. Make sure and bring plenty of Beer.
My luck has been so bad lately, it could be raining pussies and I'd catch one with a dick broke off in it.

Screw that GW. File a complaint to at least force the issue to be addressed. He has no right to do that in my opinion. It's not his right to assume you wouldn't have a need to use your transportation before he could get your keys back to you. For that matter, he has no right to lay his hands and/or seize your property just to throw his weight around and "show you who's boss".
Maybe we ought to start taking keys or ignition coils out of GW trucks if we feel strongly we need to speak with them and we're afraid they'll leave first. I bet they wouldn't care for that.
