Water you were fishing on: Guntersville, primarily upriver from Goosepond and in Rosemary Creek
Time of day: 6:30 a.m. to 3 p.m.
Species of fish: LM
Weight of the fish or the number of fish you caught: 15-20, biggest pushing 4 pounds or a tad more
Weather conditions: scattered showers early (a damn hard one at 8 a.m.) and then lightening into sun by 1 p.m. or so
Water conditions: Nice color on the river and in Rosemary ... no current (dammit!) ... fished the grass
Bait you were using: Caught most on Heddon Pop'n Image chuggers with steady bloop ... few on flukes ... couple on Carolina-rigged Critter Craws
Other comments: Tried tossing a rat on matted grass in the left-hand coves as you go into Rosemary. Two little blowups, but no excitement.

I've caught some nice fish outa Star Lake. The creek that runs behind it is Patton Creek that ends up by the Galleria. There is some really nice fish in that stretch of creek. Fly rod and/or spinning reel.

My house is over by the old water plant on Patton Creek (Al Seier Road @ Chapel Lane). I've used my fly rod and caught some decent fish by wading the creek all the way to patton chapel road in the past. My office is in my father-in-law's house over by the Hoover Country club so I go fishing at Star Lake during a lunch break when I am stuck in the office and need a break from the computer and phones. 20 minutes casting and I'm a new fellow for the last half of the day.

Fished Lay Lake with my Brother yesterday at the regular Wednesday night tournament out of Beeswax. Caught 1 fish and won the tourney, 9lbs 2 oz. Caught on fluke around 6:45 PM. Truely an awesome fish for Lay Lake. Fish was released after weigh in.
