3/22/2006 Small, private pond 10-11 am Largemouth Bass 10 fish ranging from 1/2# up to about 1.5# Sunny, cool, and windy Clear Bruiser Sally Got to fish a little yesterday on a small, private pond close to work. Caught 10 fish in the span of about 45 minutes. All fish were caught on a bruiser sally in about 2 feet of water. At one point, I caught 5 fish on 5 casts. There were also 3 big fish (about 4# or so) starting to bed up and I tried to catch them, but they would not cooperate. One of them turned and chased the lure, but eventually turned away from it. I never was able to catch them though. All of the fish I caught were small, but it was fun catching them. Hopefully, this weekend, I can coax one of the bigguns to take the lure.

3-24-06 Bon Secore River, Mobile Bay, Intercoastal Canel Morning 2 Red Fish, 5 Specks, 1 Flounder, 1 Sheepshead, 1 Black Drum My fishing buddy caught a very nice 18 lbs. red fish COLD AND WINDY!!! I have never been so cold fishing salt water Stained Live Shrimp, Grub worm, crank bait. It was 39 when we launched and I was wearing flip flops (big mistake). We couldn't fish the bay much because it was way to windy. We had to search out sheltered waters.

4/3/2006 Mobile Delta (Bayou Sara) Daylight-9:30 a.m. LM Bass 6 fish Clear Stained White Hydrilla Gorilla Buzzbait and Lake Fork Red Shad worm Caught 2 nice bass (about 2# each) right at daylight on the buzzbait and 4 (about 1# up to about 2.5#) on the Lake Fork Red Shad worm. I left them biting when the alarm on my 115 Merc started going off. Wound up having to use the trolling motor to limp back to the launch (about 2 miles). Got the boat on the trailer and dropped it off at the shop to get it checked out.

4/7/2006 Small, private pond 8-9 am Largemouth Bass 6 fish (4 dinks, 1 2# fish, and 1 4# fish) Cloudy and windy Clear Bruiser Sally Got to fish a little this morning on a small, private pond close to work. Fish weren't as cooperative as they have been, due to the windy conditions this morning. 1st fish caught was a 4# bass. I have been seeing 3 or 4 fish around this same size in this pond, but none would take the bait. Got one of them this morning though. If this wind dies down a little (not likely) I plan to try it again this afternoon.

My house is over by the old water plant on Patton Creek (Al Seier Road @ Chapel Lane). I've used my fly rod and caught some decent fish by wading the creek all the way to patton chapel road in the past. My office is in my father-in-law's house over by the Hoover Country club so I go fishing at Star Lake during a lunch break when I am stuck in the office and need a break from the computer and phones. 20 minutes casting and I'm a new fellow for the last half of the day.

Fished Lay Lake with my Brother yesterday at the regular Wednesday night tournament out of Beeswax. Caught 1 fish and won the tourney, 9lbs 2 oz. Caught on fluke around 6:45 PM. Truely an awesome fish for Lay Lake. Fish was released after weigh in.
