Is the Chief in Glenco still good or has it dropped off? I remember many a good burger and shake from there back in the day.

Wow. Don't I feel like a moron. I totally foot about Big Chief right here in front of me. Actually, they have a new owner who has really put a lot into it. They have fixed up the place where it was falling apart. They have a Facebook page where they have specials. They're having old car cruise ins. If you're ever back up here, stop and get a super chuck burger special. You won't be disappointed.

J and J in McCalla. It's the little gas station at the intersection of Pocahontas road and Bell Hill road. The best hamburgers you'll eat

Sheilas Burger Barn, Wetumpka on 231. I travel a lot and its one of the best burgers you'll find.

2nd on the Fire in Atmore, special occasion place...it beats the one in Wetumpka.

So far we have 8 places that have the absolute best hamburger in the world. Somebody is lying and I intend to find out who.

I eat really healthy the large majority of the time but I have a weakness for hamburgers.

Ha, I thought the same, Bill! "Best in THE world!!!" Well, we'll have to try them!

Thinking a Dot's cheeseburger in New Hope might get the nod today.

MiCasita is good, but if I want Mexican, I'm going to Villa Fiesta. They get my vote for best Mexican in the Gadsden area.

The text leaded on the screen first and while I was waiting on pics to load I got a little scared.

The Docks in Scottsboro. Located at Goose Pond Golf Course right behind the pool. Best Shrimp and Grits around. Strawberry cake is good too.

Courtyard Cafe in Downtown Gadsden.
Wife says it's a quality Meat & FOUR

Effina's in Jacksonville is pretty good as well.

I'll sticky this over in the Buffet Forum and maybe we'll sort through and pare it down to the restaurants / cities mentioned.

I'm just gonna name some of my favorite places to eat. A lot of y'all have seen me and know I enjoy food and I'm no health freak.

El Sol King Pollo is really good Mexican food on 205 in Albertville close to hwy 75.

Mater's pizza in Gadsden or Albertville. They used to advertise that their large pizza is 7 pounds. Better Girl is my favorite pizza. Field Hand is a close second.

The Farm Burger at Velocity in Gadsden is wonderful. It has a fried egg, fried green tomato, and pimento cheese on it. They have sweet potato waffle fries that are good and on Mondays they have meat loaf that's really good. I'm not a fan of their steaks.

Courtyard Cafe on Broad Street in Gadsden has a great ribeye.

Chicken fingers from Bee Gee's on hwy 205 in Albertville.

I'll think of more later...

Not much to add now...

Dick Russell's in Mobile. Great breakfast. Be sure to get some homemade peach preserves. For lunch they have a great burger and the best onion rings. BBQ is good too but I rarely get passed the burger.
