Fairhope if you need to be close to Mobile. If you can afford it, Orange Beach. When I lived there, I can't think of anywhere from Bay Minette to Mobile that I would consider a '' good '''' area ''. I lived in Fairhope, and it really wasn't too bad, but it would take some serious money for me to move back to that area of Alabama. Bay Minette is the creepiest place I've ever been in Alabama.

If I were to move to mobile I'd live in on dog river, halls mill, rattlesnake bayou, or another body of water. Whichever of the best neighborhoods I could afford.

West Mobile is not bad but there is no direct route to anywhere else in the city. Airport Blvd. sucks and you have to drive out of your way to hit an interstate. I moved to Spanish Fort and drive to Mobile daily. Except for the rare occasion when the causeway and bayway are backed up its easier for me to get to work in Mobile now than it was when I lived in West Mobile. If you move farther south on the Eastern Shore that's a different story.
