Anyone have a set of plans for a 2 man shooting house? I've gotta build 3 and been looking around for ideas.

I'll try to find my plans but you can make a 4 X 6 out of 6, 4 X 8 sheets of plywood or OSB. I've built several and they are plenty big enough for 2 folks.

One day the right woman will come along and the next thing you know you'll be wearing her underwear!

I was thinking 4x6. I was just curious if anyone had plans they wanted to share, I was looking at several different ones online and just wanting options/opinions on designs that you like better than others.

Don't have any plans other than those in my head. Ours are all 5x8, I know , odd size on the 5' way, but 4' is too small. BTW, I'd never build any more this fancy, I'd buy them, lota $ and labor in those babies.

I wish I could help, but we only build platforms to put our Snaplock Hunting Blinds on.

I build mine 4 x 6 and 6 feet tall to save wood. I'll try to post a pic tonight.

central ala,
For me, there are 2 kinds: Stationary and portable.

Stationary is there, not to be moved. I prefer 6x6. 8x8 was too big for us. I prefer a metal roof. Stairs for my old @$$, not a ladder. Weather, sound, and scent proof as possible.

Portable is to be moved later. I don't mean once a week but more like once a year...say as a cutover grows too tall. I have ordered the 10ft. platform from Sportsman Guide. It is made where a pop-up blind will fit on top. Take the blind off and 2 people can move the platform.

I had a black plastic one called a BLYND. I put windows in it to stop wind, rain, and hopefully control scent. On a sunny day, that thing would get so hot in it your eyes would roll back in your head!!

We put window kits in ours. Ours aren't hot like that. It doesn't have a bottom to it(other than the platform we build), so is doesn't pop everytime you move.

Here is a set of plans for the ones I build, they are pretty nice and work out well for two people, the only thing is adjust the windows to the height of the chair you will be using and if you put them on top of a hill take that into consideration. This is my personal design so it is not copyright or anything so use as you see fit and at your own risk I assume no liability for the use or suitability of these plans.

Make sure the legs are in good shape and properly anchored to resist wind loads before use. I typically use a mobile home type auger tie down at each leg to anchor mine.

Finished and installed.

I also offer these for sale if anyone is interested, shoot me a PM.

Thank you,
Shotts

I like it Brad, I do any more that's what it'll be. Might make a couple that are movable with a loader and forks.
