straycat, problem is the Mals are a European breed and the AKC decides to set the standards for that breed using American breeding logic. Like American breeders haven't ruined a lot of good breeds already. shocked

Buddy of mine had a German import that AKC wouldn't register because they said it didn't meet breed standards, that would be funny if it wasn't so sad. An American club telling a German breed what their dogs should be.....

European breeders lean towards a performance standard whereas Americans care more about how it looks.....

I've spent most of the money I've made in my lifetime on hunting and fishing. The rest I just wasted.....
