Need opinions on a good outfitter or someone to talk to about a duck hunting trip. Hunted Arkansas for years in leases but with so many family obligations gave it all up, but wanting to go on a jam up trip this year with some friends. Interested in Cast and Blast in Louisiana or a good trip West of here for ducks and Geese. All the farmers I dealt with in the past are full up or don't mess with it anymore. There are so many bad outfitters out there, I want to go with someone where I know we will have a good time.

Went with Cajun Fishing Adventures and Ryan Lambert out of Buras, LA about 8 or so years ago and it was an outstanding trip. Duck hunt in the morning come back and eat lunch then go fishing in the afternoon. I think we limited every time we went out hunting and fishing.

A BAD DAYS HUNTING OR FISHING IS BETTER THAN ANY DAY AT WORK

give these a call. I'm not affiliated with them, just know folks that have hunted there and "know" the folks that run it from another forum. they may already be booked up but worth a call.

I believe their prices are $400/person/morning, and an additional $200/person/day for afternoon goose hunts. I *think* it's primarily pits in flooded rice but they may have timber access too.

When I go back to AR for an outfitter that's who I want to go with. He seems to run a jam up operation up there. Seeing him post on DHC about all the management he does during the offseason then seeing the fruits of his harvest year after year really mean something.

Yep, DHC is where I know him from (never met him in person, just know him on there). I do personally know several folks that have hunted with them and you'll never hear anything but good reviews of them.

Personally, I'll recommend Popa duck lodge, st Charles Arkansas. Dean is a great guy, previous junior world champion duck caller, and a damn hard worker. He will put you on birds if there are any around.
