I carry shield daily. I have 100% confidence in it. I have owned flocks in the past and am in the market for a specific one now but not for carry. Either choice will be a good one

I think it's a coin toss. If you can palm them both and shoot both do it before buying. I have a S&W 45 that I carry.

I carry a Shield 40. It's been 100% reliable. It fits me better than any of the other small CC size pistols. In 9mm, it holds 2 more rounds than the Glock.

I've never even looked at a 43, but if you want one keep your eyes open in the classifieds. There have been a lot of ppl put them up for sale after they got them.

Glock all day. Look at the 19 as well as the 43.

Glock 43, simply because of the weight. A shield weighs what a G26 weighs.

I bought a Glock 42 recently. That pos literally jambs every shot. I would hope the 43 is better quality.

I'm partial to the glocks but the m&p's are great too. It basically comes down to which one is more comfortable in your hand.

The Shield has a proven track record, lower price and more capacity.
I carry a safetyless 9MM Shield and have been pleased with it.

If you go with a Shield I advise buy one without the safety.

One more small but important difference is that the shield has a stainless slide.

I have sweated on mine all summer without a hint of rust.

The Glock 17 fits better than any glove I have ever worn. First shot through mine was at about 30 yards at a crow as I was driving across the pasture. He kept watching me so I just took aim and fired. I bet I could not repeat that again in a 100 shots, especially since I never stopped the truck to shoot. I took that as an omen. That is why the 17 is my go to.
