Depends on what part of Houston County. There is a massive difference between the eastern side within 2 or 3 miles of the Chattahoochee, and the rest of the county. If you are close to the river there are very good deer populations and quality. Along that river flood plain you have excellent soil, a perfect blend of cover and agriculture, as well as good genetics from Georgia with a November/early December rut. The rest of the county is hit or miss though. There are large sections of Houston County with no deer, or places that are just now starting to get deer. The main factor is cover. If your lease and the surrounding property has 400-500 acres of woods, you probably have deer. Those sections of Houston County you see on the map with 75% fields just don't have enough cover to hold good populations. There are some absolute monsters in some of these creek and swamp bottoms though because not a lot of people bother trying to hunt the thinly populated spots. Most Dothan people hunt in Henry, Dale, or Barbour County. Give me a general idea of where your lease is and I can give you specifics.

I'm hunting in the town of cottonwood, it's roughly 900 acres with 80% cover the rest is peanut fields , it does have several creeks running threw the property and is surrounded by farm land and cover land aswell , there's alot of deer sign on the property just waiting to go back and check trail cams to see what bucks have been pictured

Cottonwood has a ton of deer and some very good ones too. I hunt Barbour, but if I were to need to hunt closer to home I would definitely try to find something in Cottonwood.

If you are in the creek bottomland south of Cottonwood it has some good deer. You probably won't have a ton of hunting pressure from neighbors either. Consider yourself lucky if you found 900 acres of woods anywhere around there. It is mostly peanut and cotton fields.
