Does anyone know of an app that will show property lines in Illinois? I've seen something advertised on hunting shows that is supposed to show public and private property boundaries. I don't know if it includes Illinois or remember the name. Maybe someone else knows and will reply.

Scoutlook is great ... if you have cell service where you hunt otherwise it is worthless.
I use GPS Hunt because it allows you to download maps to your device and use them offline, but I am still not real keen on it. Do any of these other apps for iPhones allow you use them offline? Scoutlooks new update allows offline use, just when adding new stand site click the available offline button. BOOM SON
There is 2 different high fence. 1 small and one big! Mine was free range in the big pen and was not a breeder buck. Why does it have to be twisted around??

Since I hunt exclusively WMA and some TVA land, boundaries are super important to me. I use BackCountry Navigator Pro. The thing I like is I am able to import map files that I export from Google MyMaps. Using county GIS maps, the DCNR interactive map and TVA's online maps, I have been able to create very accurate boundary data for Skyline and other areas in northern Alabama. BackCountry Navigator also had many options for backgrounds such as satellite and topo maps, but generally I prefer the Google maps imagery which you can download to the phone and not have to rely on cell coverage. Recording your track and marking waypoints like scrapes, rubs and stand locations is easy. BCN is Android only, but I have heard that Gaia GPS I'd very good but a little pricey.

I use Huntstand Lite. Very user friendly. I can measure field size and measure distance very easily and accurately. I'm sure there are others that are similar, I have just found this one to be easy to use. I downloaded it to my phone and started playing with it. Had it on IPad but hadn't really used much. Like that it has offline use option. Also downloaded the turkey hunting app they make which was pretty cool. Both have same type of navigation. Really like features on the turkey hunting app. It is called Huntstand Turkey Hunt by the same folks that put out Hunt Stand Lite.

best app ever made for hiking and the woods is called alpine quest. It absolutely does not get any better than that.it has map areas you can download so you can still have your maps without a signal.you can draw perimeters on it,store as many waypoints and change colors for food plots and etc,\ It will also rotate the map to the direction you point using the compass feature so you can walk to a point in the dark and it will put you right on it.also can zoom to a point and it will give you exact distance in yards or miles.none of those other apps come even close. I use the free hunting app for wind =and scent cone.Heres some screen shots. It will also measure areas you mark off in square yards miles or acres. You can lay out a property in a day and record all the roads and trails and save em for later use.You can also take a picture and store it with the waypoint. No other program i ever found will do what this program will do period.and ive downloaded em all.PS dont let anyone else in the club know you got this or they are gonna wanna throw you out because you will know the property better than the ones who started the club.wonder how you know about all there private areas and shortcuts and constantly see and kill deer.thats a fact jack.

onX Hunt and GPS Hunt
onX Hunt is the one that shows property lines and owners names. Is onX a free app or do you have to pay for it? I downloaded it and it keeps telling my that my "free trial" is running out soon.

I use VernonTullExtremeHunting version 4.0. It tells where the bucks are in my area and when I can expect them to move. Based on the personality of each buck, the app will advise me to use a can call, a grunt call, rattling antlers, etc.

I had no clue there were apps like that, that showed property lines. I ended up ordering the sd card for my garmin handheld. It's nice to be able to see all property lines.
