I have owned 4 Vortex scopes and still have 3 of them. My father in law has the 4th. The crossfire II is their entry level line. I have one in 4-12x44 that I hunt with. It is not on the same level as my Viper HS-T but it's about $500.00 cheaper. I have used and shot about every big named scope out there an for the money you can't beat a Vortex. That being said, If I were gonna put that kind of money in a Crossfire II, I look at the Diamondback line and more specifically the Diamondback HP.
My next Vortex will be the PST model with the lighted reticle. It runs around the $750 to $900. A buddy of mine has 2 of them and loves them. My crossfire has held zero well on my Ruger 30:06.
